multi-tasking

Writing a paper.
Watching Ghost Hunters International.
And searching for new music.

Wasting electricity? I think not... I like to call it multi-tasking. *And I've become a pro!

Here's is the latest tune on repeat. (Although I didn't care much for her last album, I am enjoying what I am hearing from this new one coming out in May. *Must admit I am looking forward to more).

enjoy!

Two days is not enough.

Each weekend is such a tease. It's enough to finish responsibilities spilled into it from the previous week...leaving little time for fun, and more important- REST.

I need at least four more hours to a day and two more days to end the week!

Thank heavens for music, though. It surrounds you no matter where you are or how busy you get... The boyfriend played some good 'ole indie radio today. He sure does know how to keep a girl from going too crazy.. ':)

Okay, 5 minute break is over. Now to prepare for the new week.... *sigh.

Love is in the air

Oh, February...

The month of heart aches and heart skips.
What a perfect month to dip into my favorite love stories. The ones with twists....the ones in which the love came unexpectedly.. the sweetest kind of love. :)

My top 10 faves:

1.   The Princess and the Warrior
2.   When Harry Met Sally
3.   Buffalo 66
4.   The Science of Sleep
5.   Amelie
6.   The Baxter
7.   Eagle vs. Shark
8.   Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist
9.   Me and You and Everyone We Know
10. Secretary

Badly Drawn Boy- Promises (heart-skipping music)

storytime

I recently fell hard for a wonderful children's book by William Joyce.
During a routine (and oh, so unnecessary) trip to Target a bright book cover titled The Man in the Moon caught my eye. I want my two boys to love reading as much as I did when I was their age, so I encourage a new book over a new toy as often as possible. *I have to say though, even if I was not a mom- I would probably make my way to the children's book section anyway. (I always do at any bookstore.) I still dream that one day I can write (and illustrate) a book for kids. An art teacher in high school once told me that she could see me doing so as a career- and the thought has never left my mind...

Books like this inspire me more than ever. A great story and the ART! I love it. If you ever get a moment to read it- do so... It really is lovely.
